La casa del piano is located in a quiet, traffic-free pedestrian street. It is both spacious and stylish, a pretty attractive home-from-home.
Just a couple of minutes stroll from local shops, restaurants and bars, here you can enjoy the very best of being in a very traditional and classically beautiful pueblo blanco with great views over the glorious sweep of countryside below the village,often to the Rock of Gibraltar.
The house is rather big and lovely, with the two living spaces with fire places entirely refurbished, in keeping with the rustic character and traditional charm of the original building. There are three double bedrooms, two bathrooms, one study and plenty of corners.
Oak beams, twisty walls, hand glazed tiles, little nooks and crannies, a choice of terraces and Andalusian courtyard, beautifully weathered terracotta floors - it has bags and bags of character; but there's all mod cons too - satellite TV, a well appointed kitchen with extra large SMEG cooker, fenced splash pool (3m x 4m) …
The house is well equipped for kiddies with Wii video console, football table and board games.
Jimena is on the well known ´bird super highway¨… each years millions of birds travel from Sub-Saharan Africa to nest all over Europe. They funnel across the Strait of Gibraltar, over Jimena and, eventually, on into Europe. Walk directly from the house to view swallows, black storks, white storks, red kites, ospreys, wag-tails, etc…
La casa del Piano is ideally situated to provide easy access to Blue Flag Mediterranean beaches 20 minutes' drive away, excellent restaurants, shops and superb golf courses (Valderrama, Sotogrande, etc) along the coast.
Bakers and fish sellers come every day with their van to deliver fresh bread, sweet specialities, and sea food. Many bar/restaurants are just around the corner. Supermarkets, banks are at walking distance from the house.
The wonderful cities of Seville, Cordoba, Jerez, Tarifa, Grenada and Malaga are all less than 3 hours away - and Morocco is a 30-min ferry crossing from Tarifa.
A studio annex for two, with its own lounge, TV, DVD player, shower room and kitchenette is available at extra cost. Quality white linens provided.
