The scores of reviews which we have received indicate how much our guests have enjoyed staying at the villa and after its recent updating and improvements, it is stunning.
3 bedroom villa with private pool,in a rural location. 2 minutes to the local white hillside village of Canillas de Aceituno, 20 minutes to the delightful local town of Velez Malaga, 25 minutes to the coast at Torre del Mar and just 50 minutes from Malaga.
This 3 bedroom Spanish villa with large grounds and private pool, nestles in the hills below the Sierra Tejeda Nature Reserve looking up at Mount Maroma,the highest mountain in this part of Andalucia.
Our open-plan kitchen / dining / sitting area creates a sense of freedom:
- the modern kitchen with ceramic hob, micro/oven/grill, fridge freezer and all else that you need (and more)
- the dining area with a large table and seating for 6
- the sitting area, with log fire, comfortable seating for 6, a stereo CD/radio, CDs, lots of books, both fact and fiction (including local cooking and wildlife), an information file and a complete collection of walks in this part of Andalucia.

We direct roof water to the land and have currently elected not to have TV, DVD, internet, phone, or unnecessary high energy appliances. Internet is freely available at the bars and restaurants in the village.
Outside, are terraces with tables, chairs, sun-loungers and pool-side barbecue, a cultivated area of garden with flowers and about 2 acres of natural land with trees, fruit, nuts, olives and wonderful views!
Canillas de Aceituno, an old, hillside white-washed village, has Moorish features and is full of charm and character. It has local shops, bars, restaurants and free internet.
If you wish to do some sight-seeing, then it is conveniently located for visiting the wonderful caves at Nerja, the Alhambra Palace in Granada, the hot springs at Alhama de Granada and nearby lake at BermAjeles, the flamingos of Fuente de las Piedras, Ronda, Seville and even skiing in the Sierra Nevada or dolphin spotting in Gibraltar.
This villa is suitable for families and couples who will appreciate the tranquility and wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. But there is also a wide range of activities nearby for all of the family, including all the opportunities offered at the coast: scuba diving, pedalos, wind-surfing,kite surfing, para-gliding, jet-ski, fishing, etc. A water-park, go-karting, golf, tennis and riding are also less than 30 mins away as are the modern shopping mall with hypermarket, department store, fashion, sport and shoe shops, home-stores, electrical super-store, fitness centre, bars and restaurants. In addition, you can arrange accompanied mountain and gorge walking, mountain biking, and a variety of adventurous activities.
Most people though, find that they prefer to relax by the pool or in the shade of the carob tree, wander along local tracks, have evening barbecues by the pool, listen to the jingling of bells as goats wander across the hillside, and at night, lie back and watch for shooting stars.
