Notas
Pueblo Chimenea is a small group of villas on a headland at the east end of Burriana Beach with the villa accessed by a passageway scented by orange and lemon trees(not a road as shown on the Google Map). The beach is approached by a tree lined road and further east is agricultural land so there is a genuine sense of being on the edge of countryside although so close to Nerja´s largest beach with the most developed facilities of restaurants and water sports. A large supermarket is a 5 minute walk away and the local bus stops near the Pueblo. For those who want to stroll into town via the beach there are stunning views of unspoilt coastline to the east especially on their return in the evening sunset glow. Nerja is a genuine Spanish town retaining its original character of cobbled streets and alleyways lined with small shops and excellent restaurants, unspoilt by high rise developments. Nerja has the backdrop of the Almijara mountains which extend to the sea to the east of the town and preserved as a Natural Park free of housing. To the west are rolling hills dotted with white Andalucian villages such as Frigiliana, 10 minutes away.
Burriana Beach has many restaurants, beach bars with paella cooked over wood fires, shops and beach facilities such as parasols and recliners for hire, volley ball courts, children play areas and water sports such as scuba diving from boats which can take you along the unspoilt coast to the east. For those who want to get away from the crowds those beaches to the east in the Natural Park can be accessed by footpaths from the main road.
Nerja offers a wider range of restaurants and shops with the famous Balcon de Europa for a stroll and street entertainers.
Nerja is a regular spanish town which celebrates many fiestas throughout the year and there are weekly street markets in all the towns in the area for added interest.
We have improved the villa substantially for our own use in the winter, in particular two new bathrooms finished to a high standard and sound and thermal insulation to party walls and ceilings for better comfort and privacy. The main bathroom has a shower over the bath, toilet, handbasin and heated towel rail. The ensuite bathroom has a 90cm square shower cubicle, toilet, handbasin and heated towel rail. Both bedrooms have large ceiling fans which run quietly at low speed for all night comfort. Each room has a hairdryer. Freeview SKY is available on a 32 inch HD TV with a HD DVD.
The kitchen has a new oven and induction hob. The dishwasher is a very quiet unit (38dBa) for night time use.
