A bright, sunny apartment, with lovely garden and mountain views. Set in a small Spanish style village on a hillside, it has its own communal (seasonal) pool. Private secure car parking is available. The living room, with gardens on two sides, has French windows leading to the private patio and the community garden. Patio furniture, including sunbeds, is provided, as well as a barbecue.
The living room (with air con) has two sofas, a chair and a 32inch flat screen TV, DVD player, radio, games, books and DVDs. The TV receives all the channels you could want, including Sky sports and Sky box office. Free Wifi is available in the apartment too.
The dining area has an extending table which seats up to 6 people. Alternatively eat outside, using the barbecue.
The breakfast bar (with bar stools) separates the lounge from the kitchen. The fully fitted kitchen, with granite worktops, includes a dishwasher, cooker and hob, microwave, toaster, fridge/freezer and washing machine - everything you want or need. From the kitchen window you look over the countryside towards the mountains.
The master bedroom (king size double bed, air con and remote controlled ceiling fan) has tilt and turn French windows leading to the patio. Its en suite bathroom includes a bath with shower over, heated towel rail and modern fittings. The second bedroom (also with air con) has two single beds, and windows that look out over the countryside and the mountains beyond. The house bathroom includes a shower and close coupled wc. Both bedrooms have plentiful storage, with modern wardrobes and drawers. There is a single z-bed in the lounge for a fifth guest.
Air conditioning is provided throughout. The air con is 'pre-loaded' with the average use for the time of year, and anything above that is payable by supplement and is in your control.
The village is set on the hillside, and thus there are steps you have to use to get to the apartment and no disabled access is possible.
There are a wide range of sporting and cultural activities in the immediate neighbourhood, (tennis and golf are obvious, but try padel - or just enjoy watching!). The tennis club, which is open to visitors is a short stroll away, and has a restaurant and cafe bar,a well equipped gym and exercise classes (available for a small fee) and a salt water swimming pool.
A wide range of restaurants are nearby, on foot or by car, bus or taxi.
The apartment is only a short (20 minute) drive from Malaga airport. It is 4km from the enchanting village of Mijas, and the same distance from the vibrant town of Fuengirola and its beaches. In addition it provides an excellent base for touring further afield. Malaga is only 25 minutes drive away, Granada can easily be reached in less than 2 hours, but Ronda, Gibraltar, Cadiz, Cordoba and Seville are all easy and very attractive day trips - not to mention Madrid via the high speed train link at Malaga.
There are lovely walks in the hills around Mijas, and Fuengirola has a fantastic beach, as well as a wide range of restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Shopping is a must, whether in the local markets or in nearby Puerto Banus and Marbella.

There is a large unfenced drop from the community garden to a paved patio. The garden is therefore unsuitable for unsupervised children.
