This apartment is light and airy and benefits from being on the end of the block and boasts a wonderful large roof terrace, as well as a sheltered patio off the main living area. There are sunloungers with cushions, a large table and chairs for alfresco dining and additional seating up on the rooftop terrace which has a pergola to provide shade. There is also air-conditioning for the summer and heating for the cooler winter months.
There is an allocated parking space for the apartment and a car is highly recommended so that you can make the most of the activities and sights in this beautiful area of Spain.
The apartment is situated on a small urbanisation with its own communal pool, a separate children's paddling pool and safe play area set amongst level lawns. There are stairs and a lift to all areas and level paths lead to the steps to the pools, play area and lawns. There is also a chair-lift to allow access to the pool area for wheelchair users.
Just a short walk takes you to local bars and restaurants, a small supermarket and the bus stop for the regular bus into Peniscola (June-September only). There is also another local swimming pool/bar complex with 2 pools, 3 tennis courts and crazy golf - all of which may be used for approximately 10 Euros a day during high season.
In Peniscola it is possible to hire bicyles, quad bikes, rollerblades etc. There are miles of marked trails through the surrounding Sierra de Irta National Park, with its spectacular scenery up in the hills and secluded coves down on the coast.
Hire a boat, go fishing, swim in the clear waters or simply laze in the sunshine - there is something for everyone in this delightly coastal resort. The ancient Castle is well worth a visit, the views from the ramparts are breathtaking! And after you have clambered through the courtyards and archways of the castle, take time for a cooling drink and perhaps some tapas in one of the many little bars and restaurants in the shady, cobbled streets of the old town within the Castle walls.
The vibrant, exciting cities of Barcelona to the north and Valencia to the south are wonderful places to visit. For the kids there is the fun of Port Aventura - Universal Studios Theme Park at Tarragona, or the Aquarama Water Park at Benicassim. Have a round of golf - or sit at the 19th hole and just enjoy a refreshing drink - at nearby Panoramica Golf Club.
A short drive inland takes you through olive and orange groves and up into the hills where you can often see eagles soaring on the thermals. The ancient walled town of Morella is a wonderful day out, or a trip to the beautiful lakes at La Senia, stopping off at the local potteries on the way!
As the sun goes down, enjoy a leisurely stroll along the wide promenade that stretches from Benicarlo along to Peniscola, take time over your evening meal in one of the
many international restaurants, and then... if you still have some energy ... dance the night away under the stars at The Mandarina Bar!
