Casa Fuente is set in a simply beautiful position, with grounds facing south towards the distant sea views at the coast near Nerja, and eastwards towards the mountains of Almijara, Tejeda and Alhama. The 100,000-acre Tejeda national park, between the provinces of Malaga and Granada, faces the house across the valley.
Situated roughly a mile from the whitewashed village of Cómpeta, Casa Fuente is a modern property, with all the luxuries you would expect, whilst built in the traditional Andalucian style typical of the area. The villa is reached by hard surfaced road right to the gate.
The property is furnished to a high specification. The sitting area has leather furniture, a flat-screen TV, with UK satellite channels (take your Sky card with you for all your favourite channels!) and a CD/DVD/MP3 player and an I-Pod player / charger / dock. For the occasional chilly nights in Spring and Autumn, we have installed a log - burning stove which makes for a cosy evening. There is also a dining area with an oak dining suite, a modern, very well-equipped country-style kitchen with fitted automatic washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer, hob and oven. We have also now installed a WIFI router, with free access to guests so that you can keep up to date with your emails - surfing in the mountains! You will need to bring your WIFI compatible laptop computer / iPad with you if you want to use this service.
The facilities also include three large bedrooms, one with a memory foam 180cm wide (near 6 ft) super-king sized bed and en-suite shower, sink and WC, the others with twin single beds. There is a large family bathroom with bath and shower over, sink and WC.
Outside there is plenty of room, with a large tiled sitting/bathing area with BBQ, shaded dining area for six, set under the pergola, with another dining table and four chairs in the sunshine at the end of the garden, a large 8m x 4m private swimming pool and parking for several cars. Sun loungers, parasols and garden benches are also provided.
The pace of life in Cómpeta is relaxed and friendly. There are quaint narrow streets, lined with whitewashed houses. You’ll find most of the activity centred around the main square - La Plaza de la Almijara - in the town. Here there are plenty of very good restaurants, bars, banks, shops and a well-stocked supermarket. as well as a bakery, fishmonger, frozen food store and a lively Saturday morning market where you can buy an excellent choice of vegetables. There is a golf course, aqua park, horse riding and extensive walking to be found within a short drive. More recent additions to the local amenities are off-road trail riding courses, located in Cómpeta, offering 2 days of amazing motorcycling in the sunny sierras, and paragliding - the best way to see Cómpeta (and Casa Fuente) from the air! For walkers, there are plenty of tracks and we have a number of circular walk maps for you to use. For those of a more relaxed disposition, we have lots of books to choose from - if you would like to keep one, please leave one in exchange. There are also a number of board games such as Scrabble, Monopoly etc.
In short, Casa Fuente offers comfort and tranquillity set in a stunning location, with easy access to the lively town of Cómpeta, whilst only half an hour’s drive from the coast. You can really make your holiday as relaxing or as energetic as you wish.

Casa Fuente is about one hour away from Malaga Airport by car: an easy drive. Granada Airport is currently about 2 hours away, but with the new motorway open between Nerja and Granada, this is becoming a feasible option for those wanting to start or finish their holidays with a trip to this beautiful and spectacular city.
Please note, we have a Saturday change over which is mandatory in July and August, but we may be able to accommodate other days away from these weeks - contact us for availability.
