El Capistrano Village
At the village centre, you will find another outdoor swimming pool, a restaurant, 2 bars, a laundry, a well-stocked shop, telephones, a cashpoint machine and the services of our agent, Nerja Villas.
From the centre you can take taxis or regular buses to the beaches and Nerja town. The town is about 1.5 KM away as is the main Burriana beach. The bus journey to either take about 5 minutes and the buses, dependent on season, run approximately every 1/2 hour from the village centre
Just outside of the village, there is a supermarket and a few bars and restaurants.
Nerja
The town of Nerja dates back to Moorish times and this influence can be seen today amongst the whitewashed shops and restaurants of the old centre. The area around the Balcon de Europa teems with bars, restaurants and shops and is the focus of the old town. There are livelier bars in the new part of town.
There is a weekly market, every Tuesday.
The town boasts a number of golden beaches each with their own character.
Out and About
Apart from Nerja itself, there are plenty of places to visit on the Eastern Costa del Sol. The caves at nearby Maro are simply stunning, the village of Frigiliana is a ten minutes drive back from the coast, Granada and the Alhambra Palace are 2 hours drive away as are the slopes of the Sierra Nevada for the Winter visitor.
The road to Malaga takes you past the resorts of Torrox Costa and Torre del Mar. The typically Spanish town of Velez-Malaga is worth a visit for the shopaholics.
Excursions and car-hire can be arranged at the office in the village
