Imagine sitting in your own private pool, with a refreshing drink, with the aroma of freshly picked vegetables on your barbecue as you watch the sun setting over the Atlantic Ocean before a peaceful, quiet nights sleep. That's what you get a Finca Higueron.
We are situated on the Costa de la Luz, Spain's southern Atlantic coast, halfway between Tarifa and Cadiz. The accommodation consists of two detached, private one bedroom cottages, El Olivo has a double bed and El Almendro has twin beds.
Just, fifteen minutes from the white Moorish village of Vejer de la frontera and ten minutes from the beautiful beach at Conil.
Positioned on top of a hill, 190 meters above sea level, the finca has spectacular all round panoramic views, which include Trafalgar light house and the Atlantic ocean, Africa, Cadiz, and the surrounding area. Only being three kilometres from the centre of the nearest village, La Muela, the two cottages are an idyllic venue for either a wonderful beach holiday, a quiet relaxing holiday, or both.
El Olivo is a purpose built cottage that has been designed to provide both space and comfort for two people, with the possibility of a single bed in the lounge for a third person.
The private patio, with a shaded area, looks to the west; there is a 2m X 2m mini pool with integral seating to offer complete relaxation while watching the setting sun.
The bedroom and lounge windows face south-west and provide our guests with spectacular views to the Atlantic Ocean.
The cottage and patio areas are very private and considerable effort has been made to ensure that adequate furnishings have been added to satisfy all requirements.
Once you arrive, you will be welcomed by the owners and we will accompany you to your clean and tidy cottage that is surrounded by well-maintained gardens. During your stay, we are available to provide help, assistance and valuable information, if required.
As well as free fresh in season organic vegetables and fruit we have free range chicken that provide us and our guests with lovely brown eggs
Finca Higueron has two mountain bikes and head protectors available for our guests. There are many cross-country routes both near, far, easy and challenging, with routes planned and maps or way-points available. Also, on route recommend refreshment stops. If you would prefer we can arrange for hire of road bikes at a discounted rate, with our supplier having in excess of 50 bikes available.
Birdwatchers - If you are visiting the area for the first time, take advantage of the knowledge we have acquired from previous visitors, over the last 9 years. We know many of the well publicised areas to visit, but we also know a few gems that are not in the books The finca is on the flight path of many birds that migrate from southern Spain to Africa. Watching the Storks and Bee Eaters flying over is wonderful, but the Eagles, Hawks and Vultures that glide, hover and swoop overhead on a regular basis are nothing less than spectacular. In the unspoilt common land adjacent to the finca, there is a large variety of bird-life all year round.
Without getting in your car, the surrounding countryside is ideal for walking, cycling and horse riding. Also, for golfers there are six demanding courses within half an hours drive.
