We stayed 3rd week of June, two adults with a teenager and a preschooler. Excellent pool, nice depth for a 3 year old. The apartment was clean and everything was in good order, we noted the shower head was damaged on arrival but brought to the offices attention the next morning as we arrived after 11pm on the first night. It was fixed that day. Calella de P is a good location, good selection of beaches and close to Girona by car and Barcelona by car/train. We did notice that from 23rd the La Fiesta campsite next door was open and their entertainment could be heard in the apartments at night.

The location of the apartment is convenient for walking into Calella and Llafranc and there was a nearby bus stop to Palafrugell and surrounding areas such as Tamariu, although they seemed infrequent, one per hour. We decided not to rent a car and got around okay but sight seeing further afield or bigger food shopping needs car transport. The apartment was adequate in a basic sense. The double bed and one of the single mattresses were very comfortable and the other single mattress was too uncomfortable for my daughter which led her to share the bigger bed with me. Kitchen items were basic also. Labeling the medium size manual coffee espresso maker a 'coffee machine' is misleading (although I guessed what they meant). The bidet in the shower room had little water flowing from ktit. Having to pay for sheets and towels which were not present upon our arrival (arrived after my phone call - I had to make the beds up) was an extra expense I could do without. Travelling to Spain by plane also means limited space for oven mits, kitchen tea towels, that sort of thing whuch the kitchen did not have. When the description says fully eqipped kitchen I would expect more basics that I would not have to bring. The agency gave us a little welcome pack with one roll of toilet paper, sponge and wipe which helped a little. We also had to pay extra for wifi at 50 euros a week, which seemed a high price. There were a couple of problems - the gas tank for the cooker/oven was low. This was discovered as soon as we got there and replaced. Kitchen scissors were broken, a frying pan handle about to fall off. Toward the end of our first week for some strange reason the electricity cut out and wasn't discovered til we got in - later saw that our milk went sour in that time. For each complaint the agency were quick to help and sort it out quickly but it was a shame to have these issues. My biggest problem was the La Siesta Campsite that we discovered we right next door to us and often played very loud music and karaoke and so on at different times during the day and night. I didn't mind in principal but it was extremely loud and echoed so much it felt like it came from the next apartment. The first night we were there music played til 4am from someone's cabin. If I had known this was going to be the case I would not have chosen this apartment which otherwise was in a convenient location. I had also noticed that the car parking in the apartment block got so busy that some people had to park outside on the busy street when there were no spaces left. The facility listing states there is a washing machine but this is not inside the apartment. Not a big problem but there is only one available outside and it is industrial size, costing 7.50 euros. The pool was nice. We were given a list of rules, asking us to be quiet and considerate of others which we were - the pool sign stated it closed at 10pm but many guests seemed to ignore this and some enjoyed making lots of noise in their nightly swims after 11pm. Unfortunately the negatives outweighed the postives for me. Thanks to the agency for accommodating us with their help. I would certainly look further away from the campsite next time.

A lovely village, and apartment complex. The area is lovely and very picturesque, we found the local restaurants a little pricey, and travelled to other areas to eat out. We took a trip out to sea to go snorkelling, and my son took a scuba diving lesson. The apartment was as described, the fridge didnt work very well, and probably needs to be replaced. Also the apartment washing machine was out of action while we were there. However we had a great holiday and would return and stay in the same place again.
