Townhouse Old town-terrace with sea view

We arrived on the night of the San Juan festival (which involves burning statues and people on every street!), so whilst accessing this property in the heart of the old town was a little challenging, the property manager was super helpful in navigating all the challenges and it was totally worth the effort. It’s a unique property (with lots of stairs!), but had all the facilities we required (and more- like coffee) for a very comfortable stay. As advertised, the stairs make the property unsuitable for most young children, but we found it absolutely fine for a young baby (luckily our 7 month old couldn’t climb stairs yet). The view from the rooftop terrace is one of a kind, and reminds you what a special place you’re in each time you climb up there. We loved this place and would recommend it, as long as you don’t mind stairs.

This property is perfectly situated in the Barrio de Santa Cruz, the lovely old part of Alicante. The house is elegant and comfortable and is equipped with everthing you could wish for. The roof terrace has great views and you could spend the whole day there. The owners have put a lot of thought into this place and it shows. It is right at the foot of the castle hill, great for making a daily walk up to the top for the sunset - and sunsets in Alicante are beautiful. The city is also great, so alive and buzzing but also laid back, with so many bars and restaurants that you are spoilt for choice. You can also eat in at the house as there is plenty of equipment there. I would not recommend it for very small children as there are many steps up to the house, and the stairs inside are also steep. For families with older kids, however, it is perfect, as well as for couples and friends. Altogether, staying here was a really lovely experienceand we really hope to go back.

We have just completed a week at this well equipped and well presented town house in the barrio district. Access can be challenging if you take the steps route up to the house but there is a back route which is easier as there is a road and this leads in 5 minutes to the supermarket and the Mercado Central which is a foodie's delight. It's a straight walk of no more than 10 minutes to the beachfront road and about the same to the main shopping street with El Corte Ingles, Zara etc. It's even quicker to the main bar/restaurant area centred round the Cathedral. The house itself is presented to a high standard and very comfortable and the roof terrace is a delightful outdoor space to chill out and the built in fridge for the waters/beers/wines an absolute godsend as its a bit of a climb up the stairs but well worth the little bit of effort. On the plus side you'll return home leaner and fitter! The owners are very professional in their approach to letting this property and my dealings with them could not have gone smoother. They also have an excellent agent on the ground in Pieter who looked after us extremely well throughout our stay.

We had a very pleasant and relaxing time and the house and location are absolutely superb. If we come to Alicante we would like to rent this house again.
