We have just returned from a fabulous week at Finca Del Cielo and our wonderful hosts Jim and Rein. Given the main run of their stunning hillside home (including 3 Iznájar lake facing terraces and private use of the pool), we enjoyed the most privileged surroundings imaginable in complete tranquility. Already familiar with the area we quickly settled in and rootled around old haunts and favourite tapas bars, as well as discovering a few new ones. Daily breakfast and lunch by the pool was a fabulous luxury allowing us to linger on while the kids splashed about in front of us. Everything is provided even beach towels, DVDs and kitchen basics like salt, pepper, oil, even tea and coffee... We were truly home from home and spent one of the most relaxing breaks we’ve had in years. Jim and Rein are adorable and sociable, always on hand yet discrete and unobtrusive. Playing Pétanque together was a big hit. This really does make for a perfect escape for 4 (2 adults and 2 children 8 and 10, in our case) in the stunning Andalusian countryside with breathtaking lake views. We will definitely be coming back, looking forward to it already.

We spent 10 days at El Finca del Cielo and never tired of the breathtaking view. We lounged by the excellent pool a lot but did take advantage of the house’s great location by going to Granada and Cordoba. The finca is traditional rather than kuxury but has everything you need for a lovely stay. I would recommend getting a car with as oowerful an engine as you can afford as the track to the house is steep - but as you reach the top and see the unrivalled view of Lake Iznajar below it makes every twist and turn worthwhile. Jim and Rein were the perfect hosts - friendly and attentive without being intrusive. If you like getting away from it all this is the place for you. I would highly recommend it and would love to return some day.

The property suited our needs very well. A car is necessary, but what a superb area to explore. Well positioned to get to Codoba and Granada. Lots of local bars and restaurants in and around Iznajar. Jim and Rein and very helpful, we were taken on a tapas trail by Jim which was great fun. The views are superb from the property, plenty of areas to sit outside in sun or shade, and a lovely swimming pool again with great views. Wouldn't hesitate to return and recommend to family and friends.
